Happy August 2016 everyone.
I'd like to extend my many thanks to all of the Club members who volunteered their time on a summer Saturday to help out with our COPA for Kids program this year. It still amazes me that we are never short of helpers for our Club events.
A very special thank you to several people. Today could not happen without the unselfish participation of our pilots. To Scott, Jeff, Avery, Wayne and Phil, cheers!
Other key people at our COPA for Kids event were Sandra, Mary Rae and Chris who helped to keep things moving on time and smoothly.
Thank you to Jacqui Burley and Loch Sloy for supplying the food. It's always a big hit after a plane ride.
As I was watching TV this afternoon, I couldn't help but feel inundated by the media espousing the god-like virtues our athletes and rock stars... most of whom are motivated by ambition to be famous and reap the associated benefits. Seeing the youngsters' faces at our COPA for Kids program today, as they were treated to something that we all consider special, was all the reward that we needed.
