A new summer flying season awaits

As winter winds down everywhere, we're all anticipating the upcoming summer flying season.

From here in Florida, we've seen that Southern Ontario has had an up-and-down winter...hopefully a beautiful spring to follow.

Since last fall I've had a number of messages from various pilots who are interested in visiting us in Picton, and some inquiring about basing their aircraft in the County. Hanger space is the big issue for many. In any case it's an indication of renewed interest in our airport and the Prince Edward Flying Club. We need to nurture this interest and make sure that everyone knows that they are welcome in our little corner of Canada.

There is a very good chance that an air tour group will be stopping by for a visit this summer, and I may be asking for your help welcoming them.

Jacqui Burley has been communicating with me over the winter and assures us that she's promoting our airport and trying to make sure everyone understands its value.  Her enthusiasm is vital and we must support her efforts.

A reminder that our first breakfast will be April 9th. I will return home shortly thereafter so see you then!

Cheers,

Dave
